Indorama Ventures Recycling Poland
Acquired in 2020
Indorama Ventures Recycling Poland was Indorama Ventures’ second acquisition in the country. Formerly owned by Industrie Maurizio Peruzzo, the plant in Bielsko-Biała was founded in 2000 and has been recycling PET bottles since 2002. It is the first such industrial recycling plant in Poland. To expand capacities and reach, the second site in Łęczyca was established and started recycling PET bottles in 2008.
The site primarily processes post-consumer PET bottles into PET flakes. The product’s high quality allows it to be used for the production of polyester fibers, PET films, and polyester straps. In 2012, the company also launched the production of recycled PET (rPET) regranulate, which meets the requirements for materials intended for food contact.
