TPT Petrochemicals was the first producer of purified terephthalic acid (PTA) in Thailand. Located in the Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate, it is the sixth largest petroleum and petrochemicals complex in the world. TPT Petrochemicals owns and operates an on-site co-generation power plant supplying power to its PTA plant. Any surplus power is sold to the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT).
