Indorama Petrochem (PTA) is a Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA) facility located near Rayong, Thailand. The plant was one of the largest PTA producers in the world when it was commissioned in 2006. It provides raw materials internally to IVL’s PET and polyester business operations and also supplies PTA to external customers worldwide. The plant has incorporated all environmental features of the technology licensor during its design phase and has implemented extensive heat integration in the process, with power generation from process waste heat.
