RECO Young Designer Competition 2013
Indorama Ventures PCL proudly presents RECO YOUNG DESIGNER COMPETITION 2013. Our competition aims to encourage students in the high schools, colleges, and art schools, as well as freelance designers, or anyone interested, to join us in the competition of eco-friendly product design. Competitors may use waste products made from PET, polyester, or other materials in their creation. The competition is divided into two categories, product design and fashion design.

*Remarks: The budget supported by the project has a condition of disbursement. If competitors or their works do not meet the criteria of this competition, the committee may cancel or reclaim the prize. Copyright of products designed for this competition belongs to the organizer. The result of this competition agreed by the committee is considered final.
- Work submitted to this competition must accord to the concept of “Design for Life”
- The work can be sent by an individual competitor or a team; not more than two persons in a team per one work.
- Product design work has to be created in a form of three dimensions with attached colored draft on A3 paper (mood board) and a CD file. The work must be creative as well as practical.
- Fashion design work has to be sent with attached colored draft on A3 paper (mood board) and a CD file. The work must be creative, ready-to-wear, and looks like ordinary clothing.
- Attach your work on a black flute board with a 1-inch frame. Specify the name of your work with concept and inspiration. Attach your application on the other side of the board, fill the form completely, and attach material samples.
- All the works submitted to this competition must not be copied or sent to any other competitions.
- Do not mark or sign any signatures on the sketches.
- The work must be sent within the deadline.

Qualification of Competitors:
- Aged between 17-30 years old
- Freelance designers or anyone interested
Document Required:
- The application (can be downloaded from www.facebook.com/recoyoungdesigner or www.indoramaventures.com/RECO2013)
- 1-inch, straight-faced photograph
- A certified copy of student cards or ID cards of each competitor
- A3 mood board with a 3-minute video presentation (MP4, MOV, AVI.) saved into two DVDs/CDs. All will be sent to CMO Public Company Limited, 1471, Soi Ladprao 94, Ladprao Road, Plubpla Sub-district, Wangthonglang District, Bangkok, 10310 with bracketed message “RECO Young Designer Competition 2013” on a corner of an envelope. Stamped date will be counted as sending date.

- Creativity
- Interesting concept under the title “Design for Life”
- The production of waste product which is beneficial, eco-friendly, and practical to use in daily life
- Looks of products
- Refinement of the production, and uniqueness

*Remarks on work acceptance period: If the works are applied via the post, the stamped date must not be late than December 20, 2014. If the works are applied directly at the company, they should be applied during October 25 – December 20. If the works are applied on December 20, 2014, the time must not be late than 6pm.
