PET team in Spain adds social value with “First Edition of Waste Hero” program
In support of Indorama Ventures’ drive to raise awareness and to educate and engage individuals in sustainable waste management practices, the ‘First Edition of Waste Hero’ program was included in an educational initiative by the City of Algeciras. This program was made available by Jose Ignacio Landaluce, Mayor, and Javier Vazquez Hueso, Councilman, to all schools in Algeciras, specifically aiming to reach children of 4th grade of primary schools.
In addition, the team conducted four workshops in schools, with more than 150 children in attendance, to create awareness of recycling fundamentals, zero waste, and circular economy principles in the most fun way possible.
This initiative has a very positive impact and adds significant value as a key part of our corporate social responsibility strategy. The program seeks to motivate environmentally responsible behaviors and empower individuals and communities to contribute to a cleaner and more sustainable environment.
