Spreading joy and fun with Waste Hero on Thai Children's Day
The Corporate CSR team with the Riverside Plaza, Bangkok, co-organized the Thailand National Children's Day event falls on January 13th, 2024.
As part of a tradition since 1956, the Prime Minister delivers a new Children's Day motto every year. This year, Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin's motto was revealed in a remarkable public speech: "Broaden horizons, foster creativity, respect diversity, and join forces in building democracy."
We align our CSR work with the theme by utilizing the Waste Hero, Global Recycling Education resources, for all kids who participated in this event at the plaza. Meanwhile, Riverside Plaza is pursuing the goal of becoming a retail store with a sustainable environmental and local community concept. Hence, we take this opportunity to promote recycling waste by arranging the educational activity corner for colouring on the Waste Hero worksheet, a tale of recycling heroes and recyclable items of everyday life. Every child who completed these tasks received a special Waste Hero wristband as a token of accomplishment and a reminder of the fun-filled day.
This activity reflects the beyond of Corporate Social Responsibility: the path to shared value by espousing the company's purpose with partners for a win-win solution.
