Promoting Sustainable Waste Management Initiatives for a Better Community
Indorama Ventures is dedicated to social responsibility and environmental stewardship, actively supporting various initiatives to promote waste management efforts that benefit both the environment and local communities.
In North Alabama, United States, Indorama Ventures AlphaPet, Inc. collaborated with local authorities for the “Better Business Bureau of North Alabama” initiative. This program facilitated the collection, segregation, and recycling of 14,000 lbs of paper documents, 3,000 lbs of electronics, along with 197 lbs of drugs and prescriptions, diverting them from landfills and water sources.
In Thailand, Indorama Petrochem Limited (PTA) donated 30 Jumbo bags to Nern Samrea Village, Moo3, Ban Chang, to aid in the collection of recycled waste. This initiative contributes to waste reduction efforts, promoting a cleaner environment and community well-being.
In Spain, Indorama Venture Quimica conducts an annual activity to raise environmental awareness among employees and contractors. This includes placing three large plastic containers in accessible areas for convenient waste sorting, fostering sustainable work environments.
