IVL Dhunseri Petrochem Industries is supporting Dhunaka Dhunseri Foundation in aiding the construction of sports facilities and building a state-of-the-art Table Tennis Academy in Kolkata, India.

The Dhunaka Dhunseri Foundation is spearheading the community development project with the aim of nurturing young talent and propelling the sports landscape in the region to international success. This involves the creation of a Cutting-Edge Table Tennis Academy, spanning 45,000 square feet and featuring 27 tennis tables. The facility will provide an optimal training environment with amenities such as air-conditioned space, a hostel for 35 players, a gymnasium, and a cafeteria.

The Academy also partners with Olympians Mrs. Poulomi Ghatak and Mr. Soumyadeep Roy, to provide expert guidance to emerging talents and prepare them for international competitions. The construction is expected to be completed by December 2023, and until then, the academy is operating in two locations to identify and nurture young table tennis talents.

This initiative has demonstrated IVL's social responsibility commitment to the holistic development of individuals and the community at large. Through such investment in sporting facilities and talent development, they contribute to sports growth, nurturing emerging talents, and fostering a culture of healthy living in New Town, Kolkata, and beyond.
