Evolving Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) with local practices
On 10-11 October 2022, the Corporate CSR team organized its first ever face-to-face knowledge-sharing session with the site heads and CSR representatives for four sites in Rayong, Thailand.
The sessions aimed to enhance CSR engagement with local sites and discussed how the Corporate CSR team can collaborate with local CSR teams to be more targeted and effective. The team introduced the new CSR structure, framework, and targets, as well as the concept of Shared Value through IVL’s case studies. In addition, we introduced the data collection process and timeline, as well as updated the sites on Thailand’s Recycling Education project.
All sessions have been very productive and informative. The Corporate CSR team also learned about CSR practices and challenges from the local teams, and discussed how to evolve local initiatives to contribute to economic opportunities while addressing social issues in the community.
