Indorama Ventures Xylenes & PTA Hosts a Marine Biology Class from Athens State University
Contributing to our community, Indorama Ventures welcomed students from Athens State University to Wetlands Edge Environmental Center (WEEC), a facility of Indorama Ventures Xylenes & PTA LLC. As part of their marine biology class, students were able to see living marine invertebrates at the center that demonstrate how the major phyla are used to analyze anatomical, physiological, morphological, and behavioral traits characterizing each group.
The class also discussed the human impact on the environment and marine ecosystems, learning about Indorama Ventures’ work in building a recycling infrastructure as a solution to divert waste from our natural resources. IVL hopes to educate and encourage the younger generation about waste and recycling to create a greener future.
